Only physician from Pune and one amongst the eight selected from Maharashtra. I was trained in basic and advanced courses on diabetic foot care organised in Mumbai for two consecutive years. Received the best case presentation award in the West zone by the hands of Vice President of World Diabetes Foundation(WDF) in the advanced course. I was selected for advanced training in Germany through the project and was one amongst the ten physicians sent to Germany from all India. I am trained in Germany for three weeks in the field of prevention and management of diabetic foot. Fellow of Diabetic Foot Clinic ,Kings College Hospital,London in 2011 ACHIEVEMENTS : Invited as a speaker in International Diabetes Conference, Teipei, Taiwan. My poster was selected for International Diabetes Federation Conference in Dubai in 2011. I received the Best Poster Presentation award in Maharashtra chapter RSSDI conference- 2006 prepared on diabetic foot profile. Conducted Patient Education Programs on diabetic foot problems at Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital ,Pune in the form of lectures and slide shows followed by free examination camps every 3rd month as an on going activity for last 3 years. Presentations in various general practitioners associations on diabetic foot and shared my own experiences in Pune and other parts of Maharashtra. Conducted the first State level 2 days workshop with live demonstration on Diabetic Foot in Pune in August 2014. I have published many articles in different magazines and news papers for people and professionals. I was interviewed by Star Maza and other television channels on the diabetic foot care. Experience in clinical trials- I have been the principal investigator of two multinational phase 1 and 2 trials in the field of wound care and diabetic foot care and have contributed highest number of cases in a recent multinational trial.
